Better than any booze or fireworks display. :)
Twas difficult having to spend my new year's eve at another family's house.
Even if it was still technically fam
It just didnt feel right that I wont be w mom, dad and my bro.
But that was my decision.
Despite being stuffed w great food and good booze
[But the teq rose was not 'nuff] :(
It still saddened me I was away from home.
But as 12 midnight neared
Everything seemed to fall into place.
Text messages kept flooding my phone
Which at certain points already irritated me
But I was nevertheless happy
Because *iGoTtAkEePtHiStOmYsElFtHiStImEaNdJuStFl
...
But more than sounding like a mental hs girl
[Oh heck N-O! Thats just WRONG.]
I AM HAPPY BECAUSE I SPENT IT W TRISH
As we FINALLY got to TALK
And settle the issues that weve both been trying to avoid for months.
So even if I only had four hours of sleep
[Because we talked until 6AM]
And had my first meal for 2009 alone
[As Trish and Mands were still in lalaland when I got up.]
It didnt matter because my cousin and I are finally BACK
So YOU-ALL-WATCH-OUT!
[Because no one hurts my baby and walks out just-like-that.]
We didnt get drunk
We barely even camwhored
But we accomplished what we set out to do
And for that my Dec31/Jan1 is complete.
...
Then I spent the evening of Jan1 w older cuzies
[W 'te Es, Kuya Bej, 'te Nam, Kuya Mon, Kuya Jon, 'te Karen, 'te Ice, Trish and Mands]
Which I havent done in years
But because tita told me to look after the two kiddos
I stayed until the drinking was over
[W my bottles of Fit 'n Right.]
And we had the best laughs
Talking about random things (and people not present then)
W our occasional pics w the help of Tito Norman's tripod
Until the booze was finished.
...
2-0-0-8 was a wonderful year indeed
Though I think I spent more time w friends this year
Thus Imma make up for it soon
Because no matter how tight a relationship u have w friends
Tis always fam ull come running back to in the end. :D
[But I DO LOVE U ALL, MY GURLIES/DUDES.] :p
To Trish:
Just like what Kuya Mon told me a few years back, "The baby will always be a baby." I luffff u, BC. :-* Heres to more sleepless sleepovers, teq rose and Emba nights and walks around the resort in Anilao while we scare ourselves with FK because we forgot to bring money to drink at the bar! ;)
...Because weve wasted months not talking and THAT SUCKED REAL BAD cos I MISSED MY BABY SMUCH. :(
And I want to learn the dance to Beyonce's "Single Ladies." ;)
And I cannot wait for the ERASERHEADS REUNION CONCERT ANYMORE. :D
[Because that was the only thing that made my 0-8 incomplete.] :(
